I made a reservation with Hertz to drive down to Vegas for a flight I had scheduled. They called me the morning of my reservation to let me know they had sold out of cars and they couldn’t honor it. This left me no time to change flight plans. The representative proceeded to tell me that it was in the “terms and conditions” that any reservation made within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup was not guaranteed. I canceled my flight, and booked a much more expensive for a different day. When I asked what my options were for rebooking the guy I was talking to couldn’t care less about my situation and was super unhelpful. Perhaps he was just new and lacked training in customer service and professionalism. Regardless, Hertz can do better!
