About

East Zion Resort brings a refreshing twist to southern Utah lodging with its collection of distinctive accommodations scattered across a scenic property in Orderville. From elevated treehouses with wraparound decks to stargazer cabins featuring skylights perfect for meteor watching, the resort specializes in memorable stays that go beyond the typical hotel experience. Each unit comes thoughtfully equipped with full kitchenettes, modern amenities, and private outdoor spaces complete with fire pits or BBQ grills.

The resort's strategic location between Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks makes it an ideal basecamp for exploring both iconic destinations. Orderville sits roughly 30 minutes from Zion's east entrance and 45 minutes from Bryce, allowing guests to avoid the crowds at either park's gateway towns while still maintaining easy access to both. The property itself offers resort amenities including pools and gathering areas, creating a retreat atmosphere after days spent hiking red rock trails.

Accommodations range from cozy yurts and safari-style tents to tiny houses and those signature treehouses perched among the canopy. Each dwelling type maintains the resort's commitment to comfort, featuring quality bedding, reliable WiFi, smart TVs, and well-appointed kitchens for preparing meals. The stargazer cabins have proven particularly popular, with their glass ceilings offering unobstructed views of Utah's famously dark skies.

Families find the resort especially appealing, with its variety of unique lodging options creating an adventure in itself for kids while parents appreciate the practical amenities and peaceful setting. The friendly staff provides insider recommendations for both parks, and the nearby Thunderbird Restaurant in Mt. Carmel offers a convenient dining option when guests prefer not to cook. For travelers seeking something more imaginative than a standard hotel room while exploring southern Utah's national parks, East Zion Resort delivers both novelty and comfort in equal measure.

The room was clean, comfortable, and the service was so friendly. We felt welcome and informed. They were quick to answer questions and provided everything we needed, plus a sweet gift for our special occasion. Our only regret was not staying longer!

We rented the Lodge (sleeps 35) and used this venue for our daughter’s wedding. The staff was super helpful always on site or answered our texts and requests VERY quickly. The price is a bit high and doesn’t include much other than the venue, ice, and one chair set up for the event. All our guests had a great time.

4 friends and I stayed in a Yurt and loved it. They had frictionless check in, great amenities in the yurt, tons of space, and we loved the cleanness and quality of the pool/hot tub! Definitely a great place to stay if you are checking out Zion National Park (hour out from the park). Ps: perfect place to relax and watch the sunset!

We recently attended a wedding at East Zion Resort and stayed there for 3-days. What a truly special resort this is! The variety of accommodations assures that everyone will be happy. Each cabin, house, yurt, and trailer is meticulously clean, well appointed, and extremely comfy. We stayed in one of the mini houses, and though the views are better at the main resort, we enjoyed the privacy, larger space, and lush landscape at this off-site location which is walking distance from the rest of the resort. The management are all incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and you're enjoying yourself. The wedding itself was magnificent! You couldn't get a more scenic backdrop for the ceremony and reception! Again, the staff were all cheerful, helpful, and professional. We just wish we'd had time to stay a few more days. We are already planning a return trip to Zion, and we will definitely stay at the East Zion Resort when we go back! Also, a big shout out to The Shop Coffee Co. Their coffee is surprisingly great, as is their food! They have a large variety of fresh, healthy options for both breakfast and lunch.
