About

Canyon Vista Lodge sits on the quiet edge of Springdale, where the Virgin River curves past cottonwoods and red rock formations. You're far enough from town to hear the water instead of traffic, but close enough that walking to dinner takes just ten minutes. The property strikes that sweet balance between convenience and tranquility that's hard to find this close to the park.

Spacious Suites with Family-Friendly Features

Each suite comes with more space than you'd expect, including kitchenettes for simple meals and separate sleeping areas that work well for families. Some units have a tucked-away second bedroom that guests discover with delight. After a day scrambling over slickrock or wading through the Narrows, the outdoor hot tub becomes the evening's main attraction. The complimentary breakfast gives you fuel for the trails without having to hunt for a cafe at dawn.

Getting Around Made Easy

The lodge runs a free shuttle to Zion's entrance, though you can also catch the town shuttle just a five-minute walk away. The buses run frequently enough that you won't spend your vacation checking schedules. JoNell and the staff add personal touches that make the place feel more like a friend's guesthouse than a typical lodge.

For families or couples who want their own space without camping, Canyon Vista hits the mark. You get the perks of a hotel with the privacy and amenities of a rental:

  • Daily housekeeping

  • Complimentary breakfast

  • That blessed hot tub

  • Riverside setting and mountain views

It's the kind of place where you can make coffee in your kitchenette and watch the cliffs turn gold at sunrise before anyone else is awake.

A fantastic place to stay for a trip to Zion. Canyon Vista is a cute property. It has a backyard, patio, and 4 rooms that offer privacy. The rooms are in great condition and the ac unit made it super comfortable. It was affordable and a 6 minute drive to Zion National Park entrance. There was an option for $5 breakfast per person.

We are surprised by the positive reviews. First off, it’s a bed-and-breakfast with no breakfast. That’s a new one. While you can.purchase vouchers, the restaurant is 1 1/2 miles away.. I would not describe that as convenient or a leisurely walk. So, we had to get up in the morning drive to town for breakfast, drive back to the lodge and then walk a quarter mile to the shuttle stop. The property does not match up to the pictures or what was described. The exterior especially is really poorly maintained. Rough stone driveway and parking area, grass should’ve been mowed two weeks ago and was probably 6 inches high. Not very inviting. The landscaping looked terrible overall. The fire pit had a 2 foot wide anthill on it and the scrap wood looked like it had been piled there for a very long time. The patio area and the area around the hot tub was atrocious we wouldnt even consider stepping foot in there. Not even close to a “garden jacuzzi.” The patio needed to be swept or blown off, the patio furniture was pretty crappy, and the seat cushions were gross. The room was pretty clean. The beds were comfortable. However I would hardly call it quaint. It was just old with a funky musty smell that permeated all the clothes in our luggage. We smelled that the rest of our trip. The mold in the caulk around the tub was a nice touch as well. There was nothing inviting about the property or the check-in process. This was our worst stay on our Utah trip and definitely the worst bed-and-breakfast. The property was probably nice at one time, but is completely rundown now. Other guests we met we’re just as disappointed.Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

My husband and I stayed here with my parents while visiting Zion and it was the perfect place for us!! The location was great and so close to everything while being just beyond the super busy streets and shops. The rooms were so comfortable and clean and had all of the amenities we needed. We felt right at home and really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. The hot tub after a long hike was an excellent bonus for us too. We could not have asked for a better place to stay!
