Wire valley Knoll

Wire Valley Knoll sits on Wire Mesa, one of three linked mesas — Gooseberry, Grafton, and Wire — that rise south of Zion National Park between Rockville and Apple Valley, Utah. The land is managed by the Bureau of Land Management, not the National Park Service, and reached via the Smithsonian Butte Backcountry Byway before a graded spur climbs onto the plateau. The knoll is one of several high points across a loose network of unmarked and lightly marked routes used by hikers and mountain bikers, with slickrock stretches and red-rock overlooks toward Zion's southern reaches.

• Access road can be rough or impassable when wet — check conditions before driving in
• Managed by the BLM, separate from Zion National Park boundaries
• Part of the same mesa complex as Grafton Mesa and Gooseberry Mesa
