Wile E. Coyote Trail
A narrow canyon-break line in the East Zion bike network.
About
Wile E. Coyote is a short, technical mountain-bike trail in the Applecross network, the purpose-built singletrack system that opened east of Zion National Park's East Entrance starting in 2021. The trail traces the break where the plateau drops into the canyon below, giving riders a narrow, exposed line before connecting into Baby Ridge or dropping down the Roadrunner descent. It sits on land donated by the Neeleman family, owners of nearby Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, and was built in partnership with the Zion National Park Forever Project and Utah's Division of Outdoor Recreation — part of a 35-mile trail system in Kane County just outside the park boundary, not inside it. Trailforks rates it blue (intermediate) and lists it at under half a mile long. This is mountain-biking terrain, not a maintained hiking path; anyone on foot should expect fast-moving bike traffic on the nearby descents.
