About
The Virgin River Nature Trail is a short, paved path behind the Zion Canyon Visitor Center, near the restroom building just past the park's main south entrance north of Springdale. It's wheelchair accessible and leads straight to the riverbank, making it one of the easiest ways to see the Virgin River up close without committing to a longer hike.
Good to know
- Pairs well with the nearby Archeology Trail — both are short strolls anyone can do in a few minutes
- Open year-round and doesn't require the park shuttle; it's a short walk from the visitor center parking lot
- A good option for visitors with limited mobility or time, or families with young kids
- Not a substitute for the longer Pa'rus Trail or Riverside Walk if you want more distance along the river
