Upsilon Temple
A hidden summit, reached only by a long trip through the Narrows.
About
Upsilon Temple is a remote summit deep in Zion National Park's backcountry, reached only after a long approach through the Narrows corridor — by most accounts a round trip of around 14 miles just to get near it, with no maintained trail anywhere close. It's one of roughly 200 named summits scattered across Zion, most of which see far fewer visitors than the park's marquee hikes and range from scrambles to genuine multi-pitch climbs.
There's little published route detail specific to Upsilon Temple, and it isn't visible from any standard overlook or drive-up viewpoint — this is a backcountry mountaineering objective for experienced canyoneers already committed to a Narrows trip, not a hike to plan around on its own. Anyone heading into that corridor should check current flood potential and carry a wilderness permit if the route involves overnight travel.
