Tucupit Point

Tucupit Point is a sandstone pinnacle in Zion's Kolob Canyons district, reached along the North Fork of Taylor Creek Trail — a maintained, NPS-signed hike accessed from the Kolob Canyons entrance off I-15, not the park's main south entrance near Springdale. The trail runs past the formation's base through a narrow finger canyon before ending at Double Arch Alcove, where Tucupit and neighboring Paria Point rise roughly 1,700 feet overhead.

• The name comes from the Paiute word for wildcat; the formation was earlier called "Colburn's Butte" after artist Thomas Moran painted it in 1873
