Town Trail

Town Trail is a short, easy loop within Springdale, the small town that sits right against Zion National Park's south entrance. At 1.8 miles round trip with about 150 feet of elevation gain, it's a stretch-your-legs option for visitors staying in town rather than a backcountry destination — expect red rock views, desert plants, and the occasional lizard rather than solitude or drama.

The trail has little shade, so early morning or late afternoon works better than midday in summer. It's dog-friendly on leash and takes most people well under an hour. Because it stays in town, it's a practical choice on a shuttle-restricted day, a rest day between longer Zion Canyon hikes, or an evening walk after the park's main trails close.
