Stapley Point

Stapley Point is a named high point in the Kolob Terrace backcountry of Zion National Park, in the forested plateau country near Kolob Reservoir on the park's west side. It doesn't appear in the National Park Service's published trail descriptions for Kolob Terrace, and no established route, distance, or trailhead is documented for it in available hiking guides.

The broader area around it is genuine high country — forested mesa top well above 7,000 feet, reached by the long paved-then-gravel drive up Kolob Terrace Road northwest of Virgin, closed by snow for roughly half the year. Until better documentation surfaces, treat Stapley Point as an off-trail backcountry feature rather than a marked hike, and check current conditions and any access restrictions with the park's wilderness desk before planning a visit.
