About

This connector links segments of the trail network on Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, a privately owned property bordering Zion National Park's east side near Orderville, about seven miles from the park's East Entrance. The Pine Valley Trail ties into the resort's Twin Knoll and Big Toe loops, crossing high desert terrain of piñon, juniper, and ponderosa pine below the East Rim's wilderness boundary. Because the land is private, access runs through the resort rather than an NPS trailhead — most use is by resort guests and outfitted tours rather than general park visitors.

Good to know

  • Located on private resort land, not inside Zion National Park
  • Connects to the Twin Knoll and Big Toe trail loops
  • Zion's East Rim trails (Observation Point, Cable Mountain, Deertrap) are accessible nearby via the park's own trailheads
