Pine Knoll Trail

Pine Knoll Trail is a short connector within the Applecross Trail System, the 35-mile network of purpose-built singletrack that opened east of Zion National Park in 2021 near Orderville. The Applecross trails sit a quarter-mile off North Fork County Road, reached by driving out Zion's east entrance and turning at the roundabout onto the Zion Ponderosa road, and Pine Knoll links sections of the stacked-loop system rather than standing alone as a destination trail.

Good to know

• The Applecross network is built and maintained as a mountain bike trail system, with green, blue, and black-rated loops for different skill levels, though it's shared with hikers and trail runners.
• Elevation across the system runs roughly 6,000 to 6,800 feet through pinyon-juniper and ponderosa terrain.
• The riding season generally runs mid-May through October, weather permitting.
• This is a donated-land, park-partnership trail system, not an NPS-maintained trail inside Zion's boundary.
