About

This is the north end of the Pa'rus Trail, at Canyon Junction where Zion Canyon's paved scenic drive splits from the park road near the Watchman formation. The full Pa'rus Trail runs about 1.75 miles one way along the Virgin River between here and the Zion Canyon Visitor Center, paved and level, open to foot traffic, bikes, and leashed pets. Starting from this end skips the visitor center crowds and puts hikers right at the Canyon Junction bridge, a popular sunset spot for river and Watchman views. Unlike the shuttle-only road further up-canyon, both ends of the Pa'rus Trail are reachable without riding the shuttle.

Good to know

  • No restrooms or water-fill stations at this end — both are at the Visitor Center
  • Trail is paved and wheelchair accessible its full length
  • Connects to the Zion Canyon Visitor Center end, about 1.75 miles south
