The standard 2WD staging point for Orderville Canyon

About
The Orderville Corral trailhead is the standard parking area for Orderville Canyon, reached via North Fork Road about 11.4 miles from Highway 9 — paved for the first 5.4 miles, then dirt the rest of the way. Vehicles without true high-clearance 4WD park here, at a corral among some trees, and hike in on foot.
Good to know
- From this lot, it's about 2.2 additional miles on foot to reach the point where 4x4 vehicles can drive directly to the canyon
- The dirt stretch of North Fork Road can become impassable when wet, even for capable 4WD vehicles
- Springdale-based outfitters can arrange a shuttle to the corral if you'd rather not drive North Fork Road yourself
- A wilderness permit is required for any descent into Orderville Canyon
This is the practical starting point for most parties without a dedicated off-road vehicle heading into Orderville Canyon.
