Mount Majestic

Mount Majestic is a Navajo sandstone double-summit peak near the north end of Zion Canyon, rising about 2,600 feet above the canyon floor and the North Fork Virgin River. Its neighbors include Cathedral Mountain, the Great White Throne, and Angels Landing, and it's visible from the West Rim Trail and the road near Zion Lodge. The name was officially adopted in 1934.

• At 6,956 feet, there's no maintained trail to the summit — it's climbing and scrambling terrain, not a hike-up peak
• Spring and fall are the most favorable seasons to view or approach it
