Maestro Trail

Maestro is one of the Applecross network's expert downhill runs, built around berms and jumps on the "Diamond Deck" cluster of trails on Zion's east side near Orderville. Most of its features can be rolled rather than jumped, but the steeper sections and speed make it a trail for advanced riders.

How to reach it

• Maestro branches off a short connector from Elliptical, the network's main climbing route — a 1.8-mile, gently graded ride that gains about 400 feet between 6,400 and 6,800 feet elevation.
• Trailhead access is the same as the rest of Applecross: North Fork Road off Highway 9, about a mile east of Zion's east entrance.
• The trail sits on private land donated by Zion Mountain Ranch and Clear Creek Ranch, open to the public as part of the Greater Zion trail system.
