About

Lollipop is a beginner-friendly loop near the upper Applecross trailhead on Zion's east side, a short lariat that spirals up and around a small hill before rejoining the main network.

Trail details

  • It splits off from Elliptical about a quarter mile above the upper trailhead, off North Fork Road near Orderville.
  • Most of the trail is easy riding, with a few rocky spots and optional rollovers and drops near the top for riders who want them.
  • Many riders use the short connector at the bottom to drop into the loop on the way down rather than completing the full lariat — a good option for a quick add-on to a longer Applecross ride.
  • Like the rest of the network, it sits on land donated by Zion Mountain Ranch and Clear Creek Ranch as part of the Greater Zion trail system.
