Kolob Arch

Kolob Arch is one of the largest freestanding natural arches in the world, tucked in the La Verkin Creek drainage of Zion's Kolob Canyons district — a separate, less-visited section of the park reached from the I-15 exit north of the main south entrance. From the Lee Pass Trailhead, the route follows La Verkin Creek Trail roughly seven miles before a short spur climbs to a viewpoint facing the arch; most hikers treat the round trip, at around 14 miles, as a long day hike or an overnight backpack. The arch itself is not directly accessible on foot — the trail delivers a canyon-bottom view of the span from a distance.
