Jenny Peak

Jenny Peak is an unofficially named summit in the slickrock country south of SR-9, on Zion's east side — a seldom-visited corner of the park that gets far less traffic than the main canyon. At 6,322 feet, it's one of a cluster of peaks (Little Jenny, Red Jenny among them) that off-trail scramblers link together.

Getting oriented

• There's no maintained trail to the summit; reaching it means cross-country travel and scrambling over exposed slickrock.
• It's sometimes climbed as part of a longer link-up with nearby Gifford, Hepworth, Roof, and Little Jenny peaks.
• The name isn't an official USGS designation — it's a locally accepted name, still used by Zion climbers and hikers today.

This is backcountry travel for people comfortable with route-finding and exposure, not a signed hike — go with navigation skills and a partner.
