Huber Wash Trail

Huber Wash is a quiet desert trail in Zion's low-elevation southwest corner, well off the crowds of the main canyon. It's roughly 4.6 miles round trip with about 400 feet of elevation gain, rated easy to moderate, and follows a wash through open desert terrain rather than a maintained, signed corridor, so expect route-finding through sand and low scrub rather than a clear tread the whole way.

The trailhead sits along Highway 9 in the park's southwest section, in the same lower-desert zone as Coalpits Wash and the Chinle Trail, at an elevation of roughly 3,900 to 4,400 feet, hundreds of feet lower and considerably hotter than the main canyon floor in summer. It's a good option for cooler-weather hiking when higher trails are snowed in, but carry more water than you think you'll need.
