Equestrain Downhill Trail
East Zion's biggest downhill run
About
Equestrian Downhill is a mountain bike trail on the east side of Zion National Park, part of the growing network of purpose-built singletrack that has opened on private land near the park's eastern boundary in recent years. It carries the most elevation loss of any trail in the regional Trailforks listing for the area, about 482 feet of descent, which makes it one of the more sought-out downhill runs among riders visiting East Zion.
The trail sits within the broader cluster of East Zion mountain bike trails that has developed around Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort and neighboring private land off Highway 9, aimed at both destination mountain bikers and Zion visitors looking to add a ride to their trip. As with the rest of this trail network, access and conditions depend on the landowner and current trail status, so riders should confirm current openings before heading out.
