About
Eliptical Climbing Trail is a connector line within the Applecross mountain bike trail system on the plateau east of Zion, part of a stacked-loop network built to link the system's downhill runs back to the top of the hill. As a climbing trail, it's meant for pedaling back up between descents rather than for the fast, flowing riding the system is known for on its downhill lines.
Good to know
- Trailhead access is off North Fork Road, about a mile outside Zion's east boundary, on private ranch land open to the public
- Elevation runs roughly 6,000–6,800 ft; riding season is generally mid-May through October
- Built for mountain biking, not on-foot hiking
