About
Diamond Deck is a connector feature within the Applecross Trail System, the purpose-built mountain bike network on Zion's east side along North Fork Road near Orderville, about a mile from the park boundary. It sits near the top of the Elliptical climbing trail, where riders reach a launch platform and choose between two descents: Magic Carpet, an easier flowing downhill, and Maestro, an expert-level run with engineered jumps.
Good to know
- The trail system is built on donated private land and open to the public — a project of the Zion National Park Forever Project with the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation and other partners.
- Elevation runs 6,400–6,800 feet; riding season is roughly late May through October.
- The trails trace the park boundary with views into Zion Canyon, but biking is not permitted inside the park itself.
