Buck Pasture Mountain

Buck Pasture Mountain is a peak inside Zion National Park's Kolob district, in the high plateau country near Kolob Arch, at roughly 7,989 feet in elevation. It sits in country far removed in character from the low desert canyon floor most visitors see, part of the same park but a different world in elevation and ecosystem.

There isn't a well-documented, established visitor trail up Buck Pasture Mountain itself, and the mountain doesn't have the kind of maintained route or signage found on Zion's main-canyon hikes. Treat it as a backcountry landmark on the Kolob Arch topo map rather than a day-hike destination, and check current Kolob district trail information with the park before planning any route into this area.
