Big Toe Trail

Big Toe Trail is part of the private, multi-use trail network at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort in East Zion, near Orderville — not an NPS trail inside the national park itself. It links into the Twin Knoll and Pine Valley network of desert singletrack, popular with hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrian riders exploring the high desert terrain outside the park's east boundary. Traffic here is a fraction of what the park sees, and the open pinyon-juniper landscape has a different feel than the sandstone canyon floor.

• On private resort land at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, not inside Zion National Park
• Multi-use: hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding share the trail
• Accessed through the resort near Orderville, in East Zion
