Applecross North Trailhead

Applecross North Trailhead is the upper access point for the Applecross trail system, 35 miles of purpose-built mountain bike trails on the east side of Zion National Park. The network sits on private land donated by Zion Mountain Ranch and Clear Creek Ranch, built in partnership with the Zion National Park Forever Project as part of the broader Greater Zion trail system.

Getting there and what to expect

• Turn onto North Fork County Road from Highway 9, about a mile east of Zion's east entrance, and climb roughly 4 miles to the upper trailhead.
• The trailhead has flush restrooms, a water faucet, and a bottle-filling station — useful for restocking before a longer ride.
• Trails range from smooth, flowy beginner and intermediate lines with berms and jumps to more demanding cross-country routes, topping out around 6,800 feet.
• Riding season generally runs late May through October.
