About

Copper Rock delivers a true championship golf experience against Hurricane's dramatic red rock backdrop. This links-style course challenges players with fast, undulating greens and strategic sand traps scattered throughout the desert landscape. The greens roll true and quick, demanding precision on approach shots and putting.

The course layout keeps things interesting with blind shots and water hazards that test course management skills. Emerald fairways contrast beautifully with the surrounding desert scenery, creating photo opportunities between shots. The practice facility rivals many resort courses, featuring a full driving range, putting green, and dedicated chipping areas.

The pro shop stocks quality rental equipment for travelers, and the staff goes out of their way to accommodate last-minute tee times and scheduling needs. While the course demands respect from golfers of all skill levels, the immaculate conditions and stunning setting make every round memorable.

Hurricane sits about 30 minutes from Zion's main entrance, making Copper Rock an excellent addition to a southern Utah adventure. After hiking the park's trails, a round here offers a different way to enjoy the region's incredible scenery. The challenging layout provides a nice counterpoint to the area's other outdoor activities.

Fifth course in the last three days. Beautiful course. Lots of sand traps (real sand), trees, water, and just an all out adventure. Love the bathrooms along the course (air conditioned). A bit of a jaunt to first hole and driving range, but it seems they have future plans to where the final clubhouse will be. Pro shop a bit spending..... Three golf course flagged ball markers and snack area way to expensive. Besides that, great place for golf.

Epic golf course with endless gorgeous views on both sides. The course was in excellent shape, had a fun mix of tees playing at lengths for all golfers, and the layout was super fun. Fantastic golf course!

This was my favorite course that we played on a recent trip to the St George area (Wolf Creek, Sand Hollow, The Ledges, Sky Mountain) the first week in June. Copper Rock had the best conditions of all of the courses in the area with plenty of great views. This course has a handful of pretty good elevation change holes but overall is relatively flat compared to the others listed above. Be aware if you are looking for "country club" like amenities in the pro shop and restaurant you will be disappointed. It's somewhat of an odd layout (for the time being) having to drive several minutes to the driving range and first tee but all of that is well explained by the course staff. The only real oddity we encountered at this course was the greens. Nobody in our group of 8 made a putt on this course. I don't know if it's the density of the greens or the type of grass (were accustomed to playing on bermuda greens) but I don't think there was a putt made that was over 6-8 feet. Maybe it was just us but we found that odd. Don't get me wrong, the greens were in fantastic shape we just couldn't figure them out. Copper Rock also has the best bunkers of any course we played with real, fluffy sand. It was the highest price tag of any course we played but was justified with the conditions. Well worth a visit.
