We’ve been on trail rides before but none like this one. The horses were spectacular - incredibly well trained, well loved, and really well behaved, and our guides were funny, kind, gentle and deeply experienced. We enjoyed a beautiful evening ride out in the Utah desert, off trail, and are pretty ruined from now on - because we’re not sure how on earth we’ll go back to regular trail rides after this.

Had an awesome time horseback riding with the Josh, Jorge, steve and Michelle managing in the back. This wasn't just a quick tourist ride where you hop on and follow a trail. They actually taught me how to work with the horse, feed the horse, saddle up, and understand the basics of riding, which nowhere ever took the time to do that before.
The whole experience felt relaxed, hands-on, and authentic. The horses were well taken care of, the scenery was beautiful, and the guides made me feel comfortable and safe while still letting us really experience the cowboy side of it.
After the ride, we got to hang out, eat, and enjoy the vibe. Great people, great energy, and a memorable day with the boys. Definitely recommend this for anyone who wants something fun, outdoorsy, and real
My friend Adriana and I had such an incredible experience at Jacob’s Ranch. We originally called after driving by and noticing how beautiful, healthy, and well-cared-for the horses looked. We assumed there probably wouldn’t be any availability, and as expected, the schedule was full. However, Joshua went out of his way to make something work for us and offered an evening ride so we could catch the sunset—and we’re so glad he did.
From the moment we arrived, Joshua and Steven were incredibly attentive, making sure we felt comfortable and answering every question we had. What started as a horseback ride turned into a completely customized experience tailored to exactly what we were looking for.
Before heading out, they spent time helping us get comfortable with our horses through some basic instruction and training. My friend was nervous around horses and wanted a relaxing ride, so Joshua and Steven were patient, encouraging, and focused on building her confidence. By the end of the ride, she was even trotting—a huge accomplishment for her!
At the same time, they were able to accommodate my desire for a little more adventure. I had the opportunity to break off with Jacob for a bit and go galloping, which was an absolute blast.
The sunset ride was breathtaking, the horses were wonderful, and the entire experience felt personal, genuine, and unforgettable. We learned so much, had an amazing time, and left with a greater appreciation for horseback riding. We would absolutely come back again and highly recommend Jacob’s Ranch to anyone looking for a memorable experience.

From the moment we arrived, Joshua made us feel comfortable and confident. Blake had never ridden a horse before and Joshua’s calm, patient approach really shone through, helping him feel at ease and enjoy every minute of the ride.
I rode Madonna and Blake rode Boots, and it was clear so much thought went into matching us with the perfect horses. Both were absolutely beautiful, well cared for and suited our experience levels perfectly.
We were lucky enough to be fitted in at the last minute and what we expected to be a fun ride turned into a truly authentic and unique cowboy experience that exceeded all our expectations. The scenery, the horses and Joshua’s knowledge and hospitality made the whole day incredibly memorable.
We only had time for the half-day ride this trip, but we’ll absolutely be back for a full-day adventure next time. If you’re considering a ride at Jacob’s Ranch, do it you won’t regret it! 🤎🐎✨

Had a blast! It felt like a real horseback ride, not a touristy nose-to-tail tour. We were able to guide our own horses and even control the pace at times. The views were beautiful, the guide was fun and knowledgeable, and the whole experience felt authentic. Definitely recommend if you want a true Western riding experience near Zion.
