About

The Grille at Sand Hollow Resort brings elevated casual dining to Hurricane's premier golf destination. Panoramic views of the championship course and red rock landscape create an inviting backdrop for breakfast through dinner. This full-service restaurant balances approachable American favorites with coastal-inspired dishes. For example, menu options range from blackened salmon topped with pineapple salsa to their popular Friday night fish and shrimp fry.

Menu Highlights and Dining Experience

The menu spans familiar comfort foods and more adventurous options. The kitchen shows particular strength in seafood preparations and hearty burgers like the Devils Throat. However, execution can vary. Some dishes arrive perfectly seasoned while others might need adjustment. Fortunately, the generous portions and reasonable prices make it a solid choice for resort guests and locals alike. The bar serves a full range of cocktails, wine, and beer to complement any meal.

Family-Friendly Atmosphere

Families and groups appreciate the spacious dining room and outdoor seating areas. Kids can watch golfers navigate the course while parents relax with a drink. Service tends to match the laid-back resort atmosphere – friendly and accommodating, though sometimes leisurely paced during busy periods.

The Grille sits at Sand Hollow Resort, about 15 minutes from Zion National Park's Kolob Terrace entrance. Therefore, it serves as a convenient dining option for travelers exploring the Hurricane area's outdoor attractions. Whether you're fueling up before a day on Sand Hollow Reservoir or winding down after hiking the nearby state park trails, the combination of scenic views and reliable American fare makes it a natural stopping point. In fact, it's become a favorite in southern Utah's adventure corridor.

We came on Sunday afternoon for my husband’s birthday. It was incredibly slow. The hostesses were 2 young girls who spent most of their time watching “Love Island” on the television right by our table (the show is rated TV-MA). One of them went over to that TV with a remote and I was relieved that she seemed to have the good sense to change it to something more appropriate. But she didn’t. She just picked another episode of the same show. Our small children were seated facing the screens because right behind us on the patio, was a woman in a very small bikini eating with her leg up showing absolutely everything. On the television, our children watched people roll around naked in bed together. The captions were on so they were reading the captions. When my 7 year old started counting F-words, we asked the girls to change the channel. They did 5 other non emergent tasks like putting silverware on tables when there are no guests waiting for a table, before finally just turning that TV off. What was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner turned into awkward conversations with our kids. The waiter was amazing! But the food is way overpriced and I’m blown away by the hostesses. That’s just embarrassing.

Im sad to say this place continues to go down hill... But somehow the prices still seem to go up. The food quality has dropped way down... So you might get 3 * food at 5 * prices. The servers are great and very polite. To bad the quality of the product outweighs their efforts.

Lunch outside today and it was lovely. Ben, our server, was attentive and very accommodating. I had the Caesar and partner had the club sandwich. We’ll be back!
