This isn't your typical desert bar. Rusted Cactus sits in a gorgeous cactus garden that feels like an arboretum, with red rock views stretching across the horizon. The setting alone is worth the drive to Ivins, but the food and drinks seal the deal.

The menu focuses on shareable small plates that actually deliver. The Korean cauliflower has developed a cult following (seriously, people obsess over it), and the ahi sushi nachos hit that perfect fusion sweet spot. Everything's designed for sharing, which works perfectly with the relaxed vibe. The outdoor seating lets you soak in those views while you eat.

Cocktails here aren't an afterthought. The lavender lemon drop, espresso martini, and paloma all get rave reviews. The bartenders know what they're doing, and it shows in every glass. Beer and wine are available too, but the cocktails are the real draw.

The atmosphere strikes that rare balance between classy and comfortable. You can bring your dog to the outdoor seating area, or settle in for a date night. Groups work well here since everything's meant for sharing. Service is consistently friendly and quick, even when they're packed (which happens often, especially on weekends).

Ivins sits about 45 minutes from Zion's main entrance, making this a perfect stop if you're staying in the St. George area or want a sophisticated dinner away from the park crowds.

I will say that the restaurant was a little hard to find, my family accidentally went to the other restaurant and the lady working there was kind enough to bring us to the right one. The atmosphere was amazing, such a cozy little place definitely something I can’t find at my home. Service was nice our waitress, Crystal was super nice. And the food was absolutely to die for, I got the salmon it was so delicious, and for dessert I got the butter cake. I highly recommend the butter cake to anyone if you see it on the menu.

We wanted to love this experience, and we did love the atmosphere, and loved the decor and loved the service, and food presentation. Unfortunately, we felt the food was lacking and maybe it was what we ordered. We had the Arancini with asparagus and spinach, and it had zero salt or seasoning or flavor. The marinara sauce helped, but we had to ask for salt and pepper to add to give it flavor. We also ordered the summer squash salad, which was beautifully presented, but the citrus dressing was extremely tart. If the walnuts have been candied, it might have balanced the tartness or if the dressing had a little honey or sugar added to it. It was quite bland. Our favorite of the options that we tasted were the Carnitas tacos. They came as two full tacos with fresh avocado on the side. We took home the bread pudding for dessert and heated it ourselves and it was delicious. We have gone back many many times to the owners restaurants in the Salt Lake Valley and we’re hoping this would be a similar experience. We would love to try again and maybe order different items to see if it was just what we ordered last night.

Holy Moses, did I just get baptized and become a Born-Again Christian? If so, sign me up, except remove the Christian and replace it with Vegan, because DAMN! that fried cauliflower had me questioning my life choices up to this point. I’ll gladly become a Born-Again Vegan for another appetizer at this place!! Like why did I get an accounting degree only to end up working as a commercial real estate agent? Did I water the plants before leaving on a two week trip to Las Vegas to gamble away my child’s life savings? Am I going to vote in the next election or get stoned and go see a movie instead? Uh yeah, definitely the latter, duh Did I wipe after the last dump I took? Too scared to check.. You know, normal life questions. Anyways this place would put a smile on Nicholas Cage’s face, whether he’s actually in a good mood or not, hard to say from all the Botox, yolo! Please don’t use my name on this review, it’s hard going out in public as a local celeb; paparazzi everywhere it’s a mess Thanks also for providing napkins, mahalo
