Art-filled cafe in a historic 1892 mercantile building serving slow food from steaks to vegan dishes with craft cocktails.
Step into this 1892 mercantile building and you'll find walls lined with local artwork and a menu that takes its time. Rocking V Cafe champions the slow food movement, crafting everything from grass-fed steaks to creative vegan plates. The kitchen sources thoughtfully and it shows in dishes like their famous potatoes (reviewers consistently rave about them).
The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between casual and special occasion. Families feel welcome, the staff genuinely cares about your experience, and there's something satisfying about eating well-prepared food surrounded by rotating local art. The outdoor seating gives you a front-row seat to Kanab's small-town energy.
You'll find craft beer, local cocktails, and a wine list that pairs nicely with both the hearty comfort dishes and lighter fare. The menu covers serious ground (steaks, seafood, burgers, gluten-free options) without losing focus. It's the kind of place that works whether you're celebrating a special night or just need a solid meal after a day exploring southern Utah's canyon country.
Kanab sits perfectly positioned for Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Grand Canyon adventures. Rocking V gives you a reason to linger in town rather than just passing through.

On the road between Bryce Canyon and Page, my boys wanted to eat "well"! They'd been a bit fed up with junk food for the past week. Mission accomplished: it was fresh, it was well-cooked… it was good for our stomachs (and our ears, thanks to the music 🎵🤘). Thanks, team!
