About

Lonny Boy's BBQ brings serious smoke to Hurricane with a menu built around the classics. The brisket comes with a proper bark, while the pulled pork pulls apart just right. Ribs fall off the bone, and the smoked chicken holds its own against the heavier hitters. Daily specials keep things interesting beyond the regular lineup.

The condiment bar is where this place really shines. Multiple sauce options, honey butter, sliced jalapeños, and horseradish let you customize every bite. The sides hit their marks too (mac and cheese, coleslaw, baked beans), and every meal comes with cornbread and a mini ice cream cone to finish things off.

The atmosphere keeps it casual and family-friendly, with a rustic-contemporary vibe that feels comfortable whether you're rolling in dusty from a hike or just grabbing dinner with the kids. The staff knows their way around both the menu and making you feel welcome.

Hurricane sits about 20 minutes from Zion's main entrance, making Lonny Boy's a solid choice for refueling after a day in the park. The portions are generous and the prices reasonable for what you get. They pour beer and wine if you want something cold with your barbecue, and takeout works just as well if you'd rather eat somewhere else.

The meats were dry. I was told by many how good it was. I was disappointed.

The brisket was dry and tough under cooked , for the price and using plastic silverware I will pass on this BBQ shop

We decided to stop here for a quick lunch. The cashier was nice and explained the process and menu items. Ordered two sandwiches, a smoked chicken and pulled pork The bread was a little stale and the chicken could have been chopped finer. The Mac n cheese was hot and it was good. As were the fried pickles.

Foods pretty good. Definitely upper end BBQ for the area but mid compared to anywhere outside of southern Utah.
