About

Step into this charming French bakery and you'll smell the buttery croissants before you see them. Ernie's is the real deal—run by an actual French baker who brings authentic techniques to St. George. The croissants are perfectly flaky, the sourdough bread has that perfect crust, and the hazelnut beignets are legendary among locals.

The sandwich game here is serious. Fresh-baked bread (slightly toasted if you want) becomes the foundation for generous clubs and specialty combinations. The turkey club comes with adorable mini pickles that somehow make everything better. Pair it with their proper espresso or a well-made chai latte.

The space is cozy with about five tables and some comfortable chairs. It's the kind of place where the owners actually chat with customers and remember your order. Everything feels made with care, not mass-produced. The pastry case changes throughout the day, so morning visits get you the full selection of croissants and sweet treats.

Located just off Red Cliffs Drive near I-15, it's an easy stop whether you're exploring St. George or passing through on your way to Zion. Perfect for grabbing breakfast before a day of hiking or picking up artisan bread to take home. The quality consistently impresses—even visitors fresh from Paris give the croissants their stamp of approval.

We were passing through St George and were looking for something quick before we got back on the road. Little did we know what a gem we found getting breakfast at this pastery shop! Everything is authentic and made by hand! We enjoyed a bacon, eggs and cheese croissant made with a homemade Croissant, real cracked egg and perfectly cooked bacon. IT WAS SO GOOD. of course we grabbed some pastries for the road trip home. We had the chocolate Croissant, apple turnover, a hazelnut beignet and raspberry beignet. Couldn't recommend this place and their service enough!

I got a few pastries for my wife’s birthday and they were all delicious! I definitely would come back when I’m in St. George again.
