About

Tucked away in Springdale, Cowboys & Angels brings authentic speakeasy culture to the gateway of Zion National Park. This cocktail parlor embraces the clandestine spirit of Prohibition-era bars with atmospheric lighting, vintage decor, and bartenders who treat mixology as performance art. The intimate space creates an unexpected contrast to the rugged outdoor adventures that define most Zion experiences.

The bar has earned a devoted following for its carefully crafted cocktails at reasonable prices. Skilled mixologists like Topher and Misi have become local legends, known for both their drink-making prowess and engaging conversation. From perfectly balanced New York Sours to custom creations tailored to individual tastes, the cocktail menu showcases classic techniques with creative flourishes. The theatrical preparation adds to the experience, making each drink feel like a special occasion.

Cowboys & Angels fills a unique niche in Springdale's dining scene. While most establishments cater to hikers seeking hearty meals and cold beers, this speakeasy offers a sophisticated alternative for evening entertainment. The late-night hours make it an ideal spot for nightcaps after dinner, providing a rare taste of nightlife in a town that typically rolls up early.

For travelers spending multiple days exploring Zion's trails and canyons, an evening at Cowboys & Angels offers a complete change of pace. The combination of expertly mixed drinks, intimate atmosphere, and genuine hospitality creates memorable moments that complement the natural wonders just outside town. It's the kind of hidden gem that makes visitors feel like insiders, adding an unexpected urban sophistication to their Utah adventure.

Drinks were good overall. Atmosphere and service didn’t quite match the pricing, especially compared to Vegas spots. Worth checking out, but expectations should be set accordingly.

This was very disappointing. So we ordered 3 cactus fruit margaritas and and Irish coffee. They were out of coffee by 7:00 so we could not get one of those. Then, the margaritas came out and they were all very different colors and tasted like straight tequila. So we asked about why they were different colors, and it turns out that they actually had no prickly pear purée left (they apparently ran out yesterday). So if we never asked…we would have been served and charged for $14 prickly pear margaritas without ever knowing they didn’t have the key ingredient. If it were me, I would have changed my order knowing they didn’t have prickly pear for the prickly pear margarita. Now, the GM did come out and offer us new drinks, being a raspberry and huckleberry marg. They were very good! This is was very kind of him, and we appreciate it very much, but it’s still just crazy they weren’t going to say anything if we didn’t mention the discrepancy. Also, you should all know that they do charge you for the “free snacks”. It’s Utah law that you can’t serve alcohol without food, but again that should be disclosed at the beginning because we would have just ordered some food. To the team… just disclose this kind of stuff, we understand that things run out, especially in a remote location.

Absolutely terrible service. Waited 30 minutes to be acknowledged..finally told them what we wanted. Waited another 20...and asked where our drinks were. He said he forgot. Some other excuse... wanted to get another but they never asked. Other people seemed to be having the same problem. It was not busy. They seemed to be more worried about having a conversation with themselves. We were right in front of them at the bar. Waste of time and money...and on my birthday. Will never go back.
