About

Bob and AJ run this cozy family cafe like they're welcoming friends into their living room. The menu is simple but flexible (they'll customize anything), built around buffalo burgers, classic comfort food, and homemade pies. The native art on the walls adds local character to the laid-back dining room. This is small-town hospitality at its finest. Bob greets every table personally and keeps the conversation flowing. The buffalo burgers are the specialty here, perfect for anyone who can't eat beef or just wants to try something different. The regular burgers and comfort food hit the spot too, with generous portions that'll fuel your next adventure.

What to Expect

  • Genuine warmth

  • Food made with care

  • The kind of place where the owners might reopen just for your group if you show up at closing time (it's happened more than once)

Virgin sits right between Zion's main entrance and Kolob Canyon, making this a perfect pit stop before or after exploring either section of the park.

Cash and cards accepted. Call ahead if you're coming with a large group, especially during peak season when they might close early.

Best Burger on earth, bar none. Bob's is the 'hole-in-the-wall' you check it's OPEN any time you drive by, and will wait as-long-as-it-takes to try the food. This isn't the place you go for a quick bite to eat. This is an experience. Ask bob to tell you some amazing life-stories while he cooks just for the love of cooking. While he makes up your meal, check out the Art Gallery & Curio Shop (pretty sure some of that stuff is magic, or at least haunted). Take a selfie in a cowboy hat and jacket, buy a sand painting, drink a cold beer with fries, all while you take in the gorgeousness of the geology outside (where they launched the chimps for science). Maybe see a Roadrunner, Desert Tortoise, or white Buffalo. Take time to enjoy this true blue gem of the West. This ain't your fast food burger joint. Places like this only pop-up once in a universe. 3.5 Michelin Stars

I hate to give this a bad review. I was literally the only person there. Got a take out order for two patties. Paid a lot for it! Big tip too! But only got one patty. Nice guy. But how do you get an order like that wrong when I was the only one in there? If the restaurant replies back, maybe we can make it right and I can adjust the review.

The worst service I have ever received. If I could give 0 stars I would. The food gave me food poisoning. My cousins food was the last out and it was a cold salad. Our waters were never refilled on a hot day. They had a fire in the kitchen and our fries were burnt. We were a big group so we understood we would have to wait a bit but they made the food and served it to 2 couples before we got ours and they left and the next round of people had their food and were almost finished before ours even came out. We had one person served earlier than the rest and she was able to eat her entire meal before ours came out and it was a while until the rest of us got our food. Honestly the worst service I have ever received and Bob claimed he had all these great reviews on the food written in his book and on google, I now suspect he paid for those reviews or it was friends/family bc i highly doubt anyone would actually give a good review to this dirty place. I found a cockroach in the bathroom and that should have been our sign to go elsewhere but we had already been waiting there for about an hour at that point and it wasnt until about an hour and 45 minutes until our food was actually out. I repeat DO NOT EAT HERE!

Funky little place with amazing buffalo burgers! Everything is made fresh to order, it's right off the main road, easy to find, and has a jewelry/first nations shop inside. My partner and I went in after going to Zion and were greeted by a gentleman who we fondly referred to between ourselves as a half crazed rock squirrel. The hand written menu was not very descriptive but he went through a verbal explanation of everything in a clear way. The food came out in good order, hot and tasty, and we had a quick meal under the watchful eyes of the kachina dolls to the sound of groovy tunes from the 70s (ish). Everything was super laid back and eclectic. Would definitely eat there again.

This has to be one of the worst places we've ever been to on our many travels throughout the US. The place was very run down and dirty and they didn't have a menu because they only had 2 options available. We should have left at that point but we were hoping the food would somehow make up for the atmosphere but it didn't. They only had one poor guy with a cane manning the kitchen so it took about an hour and a half to bring out 3 burgers and fries. Restrooms were filthy and dishes were mismatched and cracked like they came from Goodwill. Only one other couple came the whole time we were there and they turned around and left. Wish we would have been that smart! Food was ok but nothing special and very overpriced. We stayed at a local hotel and passed this place in the evening when they were open many times after we ate here and there was never any cars. Shocker. The positive reviews seem fishy. There's no way they could pass a health inspection. We are convinced it is a shell company of some sort because something seems off and shady. Go at your own risk but you have been warned.
