The Cottonwood Trailhead is located within the Red Cliffs Recreation Area, about 20 miles northeast of St. George, Utah. From St. George, head north on Interstate 15 and take Exit 22 for UT-228 toward Leeds/Silver Reef. Turn left onto UT-228/Main Street, then turn right onto Silver Reef Road. Continue for about 1.7 miles before turning right onto a dirt road marked by a sign for the Red Cliffs Recreation Area. Follow the dirt road for approximately 0.7 miles to reach the Cottonwood Trailhead parking area.
